I love this out-of-town family who came to the Big City and wanted to schedule a memorable portrait session during their recent NYC visit. With older kids in their 20s, it is still a perfect time for a family session. Not only did they have a great time with me during the shoot…but now they will forever have a visual record of their fun visit to the Big Apple. When traveling - book a portrait session for yourself! Congratulations to this amazing, smart, sweet and accomplished young woman who graduates college today. Not only is she graduating early but she played fantastic D1 basketball all throughout college. She's awesome. Her mom and her whole community is so proud of her. And it was such a pleasure to photograph her graduating senior portraits this Spring.
I love when I have quick and authentic connections with my clients. That’s what happened when I met this adorable boy upon first meeting. This was his first ever professional photo session - and he did FANTASTIC! He loved all the attention from me and all the love, cuddles and tickles he received from his parents throughout our time together. When a family decides to move from their beloved Brooklyn home to another city, its so special when they decide to say good-bye by having a farewell family photography session. That’s what this gorgeous family did recently right before they headed west. When you leave…you realize that NYC never leaves you. Its a city that touches your heart deeply. Once a New Yorker always a New Yorker.
When you are a single parent, you are rarely photographed with your children. You are absent from your family and children’s own visual history. Dumbo is filled with cobblestone streets and converted Brooklyn warehouse buildings. It is the backdrop for independent boutiques, high-end restaurants and trendy cafes as well as being the heart of a thriving performance and gallery scene. The north end of Brooklyn Bridge Park features historic Jane’s Carousel as well as picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline. Amongst all of that….there are families who are raising children here in a very unique way. Like this wonderful family who walks past these great NYC vistas every day on the way to their local playground. They work, they play but they always call Dumbo home. What a way to live!
