I love this out-of-town family who came to the Big City and wanted to schedule a memorable portrait session during their recent NYC visit. With older kids in their 20s, it is still a perfect time for a family session. I love when I have quick and authentic connections with my clients. That’s what happened when I met this adorable boy upon first meeting. This was his first ever professional photo session - and he did FANTASTIC! He loved all the attention from me and all the love, cuddles and tickles he received from his parents throughout our time together. And, as an end result, his parents have fantastic portraits to cherish for a lifetime.
When a family decides to move from their beloved Brooklyn home to another city, its so special when they decide to say good-bye by having a farewell family photography session. That’s what this gorgeous family did recently right before they headed west. When you leave…you realize that NYC never leaves you. Its a city that touches your heart deeply. Once a New Yorker always a New Yorker.
Dumbo is filled with cobblestone streets and converted Brooklyn warehouse buildings. It is the backdrop for independent boutiques, high-end restaurants and trendy cafes as well as being the heart of a thriving performance and gallery scene. The north end of Brooklyn Bridge Park features historic Jane’s Carousel as well as picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline. Amongst all of that….there are families who are raising children here in a very unique way. Like this wonderful family who walks past these great NYC vistas every day on the way to their local playground. They work, they play but they always call Dumbo home. What a way to live!
When a family decides to relocate, its a time mixed with so many emotions - excitement for what’s next and tons of nostalgia for all the memories they have created in their family’s early years. This family wanted to say goodbye to Brooklyn with a very sweet and memorable family session beside the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.
