Besides caring about the photograph, I care about you and collaborating with you to get the absolute best end result - captured memories you want to print, to display, to see & to cherish every day. Digital images have a momentary gratification...printed photographs, that you can see and touch in person, create a much deeper and long-lasting impact. Research says that displayed family photographs boost a child’s self-esteem: “My bias is very simple. I think the family photographs should be on the wall,” says David Krauss, a licensed psychologist. “I am very conservative about self-esteem and I think placing a family photo someplace in the home where the child can see it every day without having to turn on a device or click around on a computer to find it really hits home for that child this sense of reassurance and comfort. They have a certainty about them and a protecting quality that nurtures a child. It let’s them know where they are in the pecking order and that they are loved and cared for.”
The session begins way before we meet in person. In an in-person consultation or over the phone, I always look forward to getting to know you and your family...learning what makes your family special, discussing your session goals, what your product needs are...whether that's large prints to decorate your home, gift prints for grandparents or photo books to cherish and, of course, addressing any questions you may have. Photographing people is a personable experience. I want us to get to know one another...creating new friends through this process is always a BONUS. Open communication is always important. I want to provide the best service possible and deliver the finest photography products that fit your individual needs. And speaking of friends, I especially love when the family's littlest members are so comfortable that they often hold my hand when we cross the street together or give me a sweet hug at the end of the session. That always puts a big smile on my face.
After the session, I take time to edit each photograph beautifully with my custom style. Within 2 weeks, the session's best portraits will be shared with you in a special reveal. At that point, I love to discuss in-person how you would like to celebrate your favorite portraits in your home in the best way possible...whether that is an amazing 30x40' canvas showcased in your living room, a lovely custom photo book for your children to obsess over or a beautiful wall collection of framed prints for you to continuously admire. The care that I put into every stage of my photography service is important to me.
